As the Bob Dylan song goes, ‘the times they are a changin’ here in Realex – it’s been an exciting time here of late! We recently rolled out a new logo and our Dublin office is preparing to move to a fabulous new city centre office in the coming weeks.
We thought it would be interesting to give a brief summary of our brand history to date, the evolution of the Realex Payments brand if you like! You may or may not be aware that when we started as a business our first name and logo was “Pay & Shop” and here was our first logo;
In late 2002 we underwent our first rebranding and changed our trading name to Realex Payments. The result was the cloud logo below, which remained our logo for 10 years!

Why you should get interested in senior e-shoppers.

Contrary to many misconceptions, the 50 and over expertly mastered many veins of the web and especially that of shopping online. Indeed, according to a study conducted in France by the firm LH2 in partnership with Kelkoo & Hopscotch, this category of the population represents one third of online shoppers. This impressive observation, lead us to wonder why this target doesn’t have more e-commerce offers.

Startupbootcamp
Last week I got the opportunity to be a mentor to some early stage startups for two days at http://www.startupbootcamp.org. Myself and about thirty other mentors did a two-day evaluation of sixteen start ups in a speed dating format. At the end of the two days, sixteen startups were whittled down to eight. Those eight startups undergo an intensive three-month acceleration program. In May, they’ll have a demo day in front of potential investors to see if they can bring it to the next level.
